Life is WONDERFUL! :)

Howdy!! Are you completely shocked I'm doing a blogpost?! ME TOO! I decided maybe it was about time. My life is honestly really exciting but it never crosses my mind to do a post. My sisters, Jenn and Alex, and my cousin, McKell, all have adorable blogs and I think I enjoy reading theirs more than actually doing my own. Anywhooo.. here goes an overview since November! October and November were full of weddings and lots of doing the Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha slide and the whatnots of awesome wedding reception dances! I think Jenn and I are going to drop out of school and just make starting wedding reception dances
our career in life. All in all, I am happy as can be! I'm learning and growing more each day and am so grateful for the great experiences I have.
I'll attempt to go over my recent life...

My beautiful friend Kayla got married so it was great to be with some of my amazing girlfriends! We made some bets on the next weddings to come and I think I'm definitely going to dominate with my predictions. :)

My friend Andrew celebrated his 20th birthday in November and I had to put that on here because this kid is just AMAZING. We went to high school together and somehow never met. We met while working at Wet N' Wild last summer and we became good friends really quick! He is one of the most friendly and hilarious guys I have ever met and is an incredible example of being enthusiastic and optimistic about EVERYTHING!

Natalie Rae! Whenever I go home to Peoria, Natalie and I have fun no matter what we do. We have been good friends and neighbors since we were 8 & 10 years old! She is extremely friendly, loving, funny, athletic, energetic and I consider her one of my sisters. Did I mention she is absolutely BEAUTIFUL?! Together we are loud and very spontaneous! I LOVE NATALIE RAE!!

When there are weddings, I get to spend time with one of my best friends, Chelsea Hill! I love this woman so much! She goes to school at BYU-Idaho so I enjoy my Chelsea time that I get when she is down here in Arizona. I honestly wouldn't mind at all if she transferred to ASU tomorrow and lived much closer! Chelsea is such a go-getter and I really admire that about her. We had some good times together in November for the two weddings she came down for!

In November, my friend Isaac and I drove up to Flagstaff to visit our darling Kaitlin Rosser!! (the picture I just put up of Kaitlin and I disappeared.. sad. I'm terrible at this!! ) but Kaitlin and I have been good friends since she moved here in 8th grade and I love our consistent our friendship has always been. Sometimes friendships fade off and on but we have both made an effort to stay close throughout the years. She is up at NAU now so we have been taking turns of who visits who :) She is smart, talented, caring and an incredible friend to have. I loved staying a weekend with her in November! It was really cold, but really worth it.

My friendship with these two dorks definitely blossomed in November! We would have long talks about life and its many mysteries in the library and do random spontaneous activities! Definitely two great friends to have!

Jenn and I went to Utah for Thanksgiving to be with our dad and his family. It was FREEEEEZING and I officially decided that humans should not be allowed to live in the snow. It just isn't right!! Thanksgiving break was a ton of fun though. I love spending time with my wonderful family!!

Bobby moved back to Arizona from California!!
This is WAY EXCITING and I'm really proud of him for following through with this decision he made. I think it's going to benefit him in more ways than he'll see for a couple years. :)

Right: My dad & stepmom and 5 of their 6 kids!

Taylor Haws and I at the Institute Winter Dance in December. Definitely a fun night with a lot of great people!

BELOW:

Elder David Goss returns him from his mission in Texas!! TIME FLIES LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!! So fun to have this kiddo home! He is our favorite to make dance videos with ;)

The beautiful Kendra Battin. She sadly left me over Christmas Break to go to BYU Provo. Kendra is the best girlfriend I made during my first semester at ASU and definitely a friend I won't forget. We had so much fun in institute together and we were also in the same ward. We had some good walks, lunch dates and life talks. :) Feel free to move back! :)

^ ^

Elder Sam Jones!! He is serving a mission in Indiana right now and I love writing to him and hearing about his experiences! He has been gone for almost 9 months and we are still really close. He is another great friend to have! :)

Taylor Barton! He is serving in Bolivia right now and I miss this kid so much!! He sends the best letters and never forgets to bare his wonderful testimony to me. I can tell he has grown a ton already and I am so excited for him to continue to have wonderful experiences!

David Meeks! David is one of my very best friends and he will be serving a mission soon as well! He gets his call this week and I'm SO EXCITED for him!! We met at EFY in 2007 and have been good friends ever since. He is a sweetheart and has always been a great friend to me. He is ALSO at BYU-Idaho and should be down here at ASU!! Anywho, I'm really looking forward to sending him lots of letters while he is gone but I'll miss him greatly! We have the best skype dates EVER. He is awesome.

WOW! It's already November!

Hello there!

I honestly thought I was going to become a pro blogger but I haven't posted anything new since mid-September! My bad! Life gets crazy, it's great. I could read through my journal and tell you everything that has happened in my life but that's too much detail for the liking of anyone, trust me! I'll just post pictures of my recent life because I think that's a great way to show the awesome things I've done lately!
October Adventures:

Here are some random pictures from the past few weekends:
-Halloween
-Fun weekend in Thatcher
-Campout at Camp LoMia
-Campout in the desert
Enjoy!

Life has continued to be incredible and full of great experiences.

Recent Good Times!

I figured I would post some pictures of my recent life. All in all, life is an adventurous pleasure! I enjoy my classes and I really feel like I'm learning swell and interesting things for the most part. Here are some random/recent photographs..

This is Erika and I with Joe Brooks, some good singer dude that we saw in concert in Phoenix. He is precious, little and a great singer!

Megan and Kaitlin came to Tempe for the ASU vs. NAU game and spent the night over here! Yay! It was tons of fun to catch up and play! (ASU won the game FYI. GO DEVILS!)

This is my good friend Taylor (and my little sister Jenny) but Taylor is going to Cochabamba, Bolivia for two years to serve an LDS mission for our church. He leaves this week so it will definitely be weird not being able to hang out with him but he is going to grow like a butterfly in a cocoon while on his mission! I'm excited for him :) It's gonna rock!

Fun Stuff!

I would just like to let whoever is reading this know that life is just so much fun. Honestly, if you aren't having fun with what you are doing or where you are.. CHANGE IT!! There are so many opportunities in this world and I think it is so important to always be happy with yourself. I love smiling at random people around campus at ASU because it really does makes them think, "Why is she smiling at me...?" It makes me LOL! Hopefully they don't think I am laughing at them, that'd be so sad. Anywho, I just like sharing my good mood with other people because it takes more than something little & goofy to make me mad, whereas others get angry just because the elevator door isn't closing fast enough and they have to press the button 900 times to release their anger. (Yes, that happened today on my way up to math.) Tangent. Sorry. My blog is just random.. I don't really know what I'm supposed to talk about or anything.. I will just start saying what is going on in my life I guess..
-I ate cereal twice today and it was delicious. I LOVE Raisin Bran!
-Yesterday was my first college exam and I think I did really good on it! I feel like I WAY overstudied. It was in Human Development.. but that doesn't matter. Annnywho..
-I am VERY determined to beat Jennifer at ping pong sometime very soon. Whenever I get ahead in points she kinda gets scary.. so I let her win of course! ;)
-Our apartment visitors list is up to 20 or 21 now! Isn't that so fun?! We are excited about it.
-I'm sitting in a really weird position right now.
-I learned about 10 minutes ago not to burn my used floss because it burns FAST! FREAKY FAST!
-I love keeping in touch with my friends at other Universities, it makes me so happy to hear their stories and stay updated with their lives.
-I played tennis tonight and decided it might be starting to "cool down" ...maybe.
-I put motivational/inspirational quotes on my cork board a few days ago and I like them!
-If I were to pick another instrument to learn it would be the violin.
-I want to see Maroon 5 in concert next month in California.
-I LIKE WATCHING MY FISH EAT AT NIGHT! Yay!
-I always start my homework by listening to "Imma Be" by the Black Eyed Peas. It started out as a joke but now it is for real and it occurs errryday! It gets me pumped!
-Jennifer is a cutie.
-Today my friend Alex and I did some great interpretive dancing in the institute elevators!
-I love my room so much.. it is so comfortable & wonderful.
-Jenn and I started a big game of Two-Square today!! It was incredibly fun!
-I love mine and Kaitlin's late night conversations on Skype. I enjoy having some good laughs and bonding before I sleep!
-I clean my room pretty much daily. It is really goofy but it has yet to get messy so I'm happy about it!
-I want to go to Sea World a lot lately..

I think I'm just going to stop there for tonight. I don't know what I'm supposed to talk about! All in all, life is swell and I'm a jolly kiddo.
Lots of smiles!! xoxoxoxo! -Lexi

I WILL GET BETTER AT THIS!

Hello!!

I obviously am not a very good blogger considering I haven't been on since I made my blog in the first place. Well, here is my update with life! I am now living in Tempe, Arizona and attending Arizona State University! I live with my good friend Erika Hansen and we have a lot of fun together in our precious living area. Our ward seems to be filled with really kind and happy people so I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better. So far we have had 18 people come to our apartment since we moved in!! Whoooo!! (Yes, we keep a list..) Annnnywho, while Erika and I are home we like to webcam and/or chat with each other while we also hold a conversation in person and eat cereal! We have really perfected this habit of ours lately but don't worry, we do other things too! Tonight we made up a dance that will just blow your mind once it gets posted! :) Continuing on.. we have weird neighbors who have a gorilla head outside of the doorway that we share! It is really creepy and there is even a little monkey holding a picture of Jesus next to the gorilla.. they're such charmers! Last Friday one of my friends gave us a mannequin head to put by the gorilla and our neighbors seem to like it because it is still there!

The main reason for my move to Tempe wasn't for gorilla heads or making up dances.. it's obviously for school! SCHOOL- I am really enjoying it so far. I sit in the front row in every class so I guess it is kind of like a weird habit now. I love talking to the people who sit around me and just talking and making friends with whoever I can! College is so wonderful because everyone is new! I don't know anyone except for the four people I have seen from high school around campus and Jenn & Erika. My neighbor from home Jeff is in my Psychology class and so it fun to see him twice a week! Not to be rude or anything but lately I have really wished I were Asian because they just dominate everyone in school. I want whatever weird thing they have in their brain that most of us are lacking. Hahaha anywho.. I have institute classes everyday and that is always a nice part of the day. The Tempe Institute is easily my favorite building on campus and I love being in there whenever I can. I have a feeling I will be spending lots of time there whether it is for classes, studying, playing ping pong or going to eat my lunch!

It is fun being around Jennifer more again. We were connected at the hip before she went to school and I feel like now we have the opportunity to become really good friends again before she gets married off or something scary like that. (I hope that isn't for another 5 years or so.. just saying!) So yeah, she is a cool little kitten. It kinda throws me off when I see her car in the parking lot or even see HER and I have to remind myself that we go to the same school again.. freaky yo!! I guess I will get use to it eventually.

All in all, I am really doing great. I am learning new things every day whether it is in my "Teachings of the Living Prophets" class, Chemistry, Psychology, Human Development or even at home and I am really enjoying it. Meeting new people makes me happy and it is just fun!! I'm really grateful I have the opportunity to attend Arizona State University right now and I'm looking forward to what is in store for me! This was probably really boring and awful to read but I told myself yesterday that I would post something.. so I did!! Hopefully I will remember again soon! Take care earthlings :)

I was very determined the first night to get everything unpacked and whatnot. Let's just say it was a long night but I accomplished my goal! :)

This was our Freshman Welcome assembly- TONS of gold!
This is the gorilla head with their nice signs and the money is holding a Jesus picture.. but it is hard to see obviously. My friend gave us a mannequin head (that he had in his car..which is awesomeness) so it is currently chilling on top of this very gorilla!

This is my room when you're sitting on the bed. My bookshelf is my favorite thing EVER!! It has a whole level of just my photo albums! Glorious :)

New Adventures!

Hello! I'm going to attempt to have a blog, keep up with it and make it interesting for anyone who dares to read it. My awesome big sister Jenn (Hi Jenn! Aren't you so proud of me right now?!!) has a precious blog [check it out right here.. http://jenngjones.blogspot.com] and so I figured I would be JUST LIKE HER and make one myself! Anywhoooo, I guess I will be talking about the random and wonderful happenings of my life as I begin college life and whatnot. We can grow and learn together as blogging neighbors and buddies! I have no idea how to put pictures, make things cute, add music or any of the cool things Jenn knows so maybe I will ask for a private lesson tomorrow. I shall now tell you things about myself.

STUFF ABOUT ALEXIS:
- My favorite food is eggs. I LOVE EGGS!!
- I take lots of pictures of the things I do
- My watch is always on my left wrist NO MATTER WHAT
- I have brown, curly hair and I want to let it grow super long for no reason
- I have eight siblings and they are all incredible individuals whom I admire
- The only show I really watch is Spongebob. It always makes me laugh!
- I really enjoy musicals and that tends to be where a lot of my music comes from
- I'm 18 and 12 days old
- I'm going to ASU and majoring in Nursing

p.s. I just saw that I can add a picture, so I'm going to put up one up for now just for funzies!
